Brooklyn Eclectic

Modern  Apartment Refresh | Interior Project

Transforming small spaces into personalized havens is essential, especially in urban settings like Brooklyn. I recently worked on a project in a client's Brooklyn apartment, focusing on her living space and trying to use the spaces for multi-function. The apartment's industrial and rustic charm drew me right in from the start, and I was excited to enhance its personality while ensuring functionality.

Brooklyn Eclectic

My client, a creative individual as well who recently had a baby, needed a design refresh that would accommodate her growing family without compromising style. She opted for my Design Refresh Service, which was ideal for decluttering and rearranging her space. By incorporating key industrial and rustic decor elements, I was able to maintain the apartment's unique Brooklyn vibe. We introduced a glass dining table to create an open and airy feel, and strategically rearranged furniture to provide clear separation between living and family areas.
The spacious bedroom was optimized to fit a king-size bed, a crib, and a changing table, ensuring comfort and practicality. The result was a harmonious blend of old and new, where the additions I brought in seamlessly integrated with her existing decor. The transformation was so cohesive that my client couldn't distinguish between the original pieces and the new ones. This project was a favorite of mine and a testament to the power of thoughtful design in creating a functional and aesthetically pleasing environment.

Condo Projects

Residential Interior Design | Multi-Room Projects

As a Brooklyn & New York-based interior designer specializing in virtual eDesign, I focus on contemporary modern design with an eclectic twist and boho details. I was approached to work on a mix of Condo/Co-Ops and Townhouses. This was very exciting and here are some highlights below. One project involved a studio in Brooklyn Heights, where high ceilings made the compact space feel expansive.

Condo Projects

To emphasize this, I incorporated three oversized mirrors to mimic the windows and reflect light. Sticking to the client's preferred color palette of white, black, and purple, I created a design that she loved, while also providing privacy for her sleeping area. Another project was a railroad-style one-bedroom apartment in Prospect Heights, Brooklyn, which needed to be furnished for rental purposes on a modest budget. My Take 2 eDesign package was ideal for this project.

Given the narrow space, I included versatile seating options like poufs. The result was a functional and appealing space that was successfully rented out within a week. In Dumbo, Brooklyn, I worked with a couple who needed help with their downstairs family room, which opened to a dreamy outdoor space. They opted for my 2 room design package. Despite initial differences in design preferences, we developed a cohesive plan through questionnaires and Zoom calls. The final design seamlessly blended their styles, and they were thrilled with the outcome.
Another client in Brooklyn Heights wanted to revamp her studio apartment, which felt too small for hosting friends and lacked a proper dining area. Working within a tight budget, I creatively sourced pieces that provided privacy and separation. I also managed to include a small dining table, transforming her space into a more functional and inviting environment.

In Greenwich Village, I tackled an apartment with stunning curved walls that had to be highlighted. The existing oversized, mismatched furniture didn't do justice to the space, which included a fabulous private wraparound terrace. I introduced furniture, art, and decorative accessories with curves and roundness to complement the apartment's structure, all while staying within budget. These projects showcase my ability to transform spaces by emphasizing unique architectural features, optimizing functionality, and blending contemporary, rustic, and boho elements to create personalized, inviting environments.

Prospect Heights

Townhouse Brooklyn Interior Design Project
Eclectic mustard chair
Working on a Brooklyn townhouse for a family of four was an exciting and rewarding challenge. My clients had impeccable taste, yet they found themselves struggling to complete the design of some rooms. To address their unique needs, I developed a comprehensive custom design package that included both furnishing certain spaces and refreshing others to create a cohesive and inviting home environment.

Prospect Heights

The family had already invested significant time and resources into making this townhouse their forever home. However, like many who tackle such ambitious projects themselves, they eventually reached a point of burnout. The process of selecting furniture and decor can be overwhelming, and they realized they needed professional assistance to bring their vision to fruition. Recognizing their limits, they turned to me for help in completing their design journey. With an impressive collection of furniture already in place, my focus was on enhancing the existing design by adding select pieces, decor, and accessories. This approach allowed us to build upon their foundation.
Also, ensuring the townhouse not only reflected their personal style but also provided a warm and welcoming atmosphere. The goal was to create a space where they could comfortably grow old together, surrounded by a design that felt both timeless and personal. By carefully curating additional elements and optimizing the layout, we transformed the townhouse into a true reflection of the family's lifestyle and aspirations. The final result was a harmonious blend of functionality and aesthetics, making the home a perfect sanctuary for the family. This project exemplified the power of thoughtful design in turning a house into a home that resonates with its inhabitants.

Greenwich Village Loft

 Multi-room Interior Design Project
Transforming a Greenwich Village loft that had been lived in for over 30 years was a delightful challenge. My client, a long-time resident and avid collector, had accumulated a wealth of treasures, but the space was in dire need of some TLC. The floors were worn out, the kitchen and bath required a complete overhaul, and the entire loft needed fresh paint and new lighting. Despite these issues, the loft's bones were incredible, featuring beautiful arched exposed brick details along one side—a feature I absolutely adore.

Greenwich Village Loft

As I walked through the loft, I discovered several forgotten treasures, including a set of incredible old Beatles lithographs that had been collecting dust. I knew these lithographs deserved to be showcased prominently. My client also had large, dark, moveable dividers that were used to break up the loft space. These dividers were heavy and overpowered the room, so I decided to paint them white, creating the perfect backdrop to display each of the Beatles lithographs. To complete the transformation, we incorporated contemporary, rustic, and industrial pieces, along with some Boho textures. This blend of styles not only revitalized the space but also made it a warm and inviting home.
The end result was a harmonious mix of old and new, making the loft a place my client would love to come home to every day. In addition to the aesthetic improvements, we focused on optimizing the functionality of the space. The kitchen was redesigned to be more efficient and modern, while the bathroom received a luxurious update. New lighting fixtures were installed to brighten the loft and highlight its unique architectural features. The fresh paint job brought a sense of newness and cleanliness, making the entire space feel rejuvenated. This project was a testament to the power of thoughtful design in breathing new life into a beloved home, ensuring it remains a cherished sanctuary for years to come.
